May highlights: Mother’s Day, BurgerFest, the long weekend and more local food!
April showers really do lead to May flowers, it seems—after a wet, chilly couple of days, we’re being rewarded with beautiful blue skies, warmer temperatures and glorious sunshine. We hope you’re enjoying this gorgeous weather as much as we are!
May is a busy time of year for a lot of families, and also for the VG Meats team. Between our work on the farm, in our retail shops and in the community, there’s a lot going on at the moment! BurgerFest at VG Meats
May is BurgerFest at VG Meats, and we couldn’t be more excited! This is a great opportunity to stock up on high quality Ontario beef burgers at a great price. Here's how it works: when you buy a case of our 4oz regular beef burgers during the month of May, the cost works out to just $1.50 per patty. That’s a savings of over $20 per case! Fire up the grill—burger season is officially here.
This deal is being offered to registered Solar Dollar Rewards members only, but good news—there's no cost to sign up, and it only takes a couple of minutes to create your free account. There is a limit of one case per day per customer, but you can buy multiple cases if you shop throughout the month. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Fresh local asparagus is coming!
Spring produce is here and asparagus is on its way! This is one of the best times of the year to enjoy fresh Ontario produce. Whether you grill it, make an asparagus tart with cheese, add it to quiches or omelettes or sauté it in garlic butter, asparagus is a seasonal treat that can’t be missed. We love asparagus wrapped in bacon or served beside a juicy Ontario beef steak! We love a long weekend, and Victoria Day is no exception. The first long weekend of the year is always a good time, and our fingers are crossed for more of this beautiful weather. We recommend taking advantage of BurgerFest to start stocking up your freezer now—you can also buy a cost-saving bundle or buy your favourite local products in bulk.
